Hi everyone,

I installed a sewage pump (liberty pro 380) when I redid the chalet basement. I’m now at the step of connecting it to the main waste line, about 6 feet above.

I’m trying to decide which check valve and ball valve I should use.

For the CV, I’m considering the Zoeller 30-0151 (https://www.amazon.com/Zoeller-30-0151-12-00-11-00-inches/dp/B0009TCIHU). I would like it to be as quiet as possible, but I read that quiet CS are not good for sewage pump because of the spring in it. Any of you knows if the Zoeller will be quieter than the cheap plastic one of Home Depot?

My main question is about the ball valve though. As this seems to be an important part of the system, I would like to avoid the cheap one of Home Depot as well (I’m concerned with eventual leakage and I would like to keep the line a full 2”). I’m considering the full port from Hydroseal after reading good reviews (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07BMV39TD/ref=ox_sc_act_image_3?smid=AQIVHFV3N7APR&psc=1)
Would you use that on a sewage pump system? If not, any alternative?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks Casher!

I couldn’t find the AY McDonald in 2”, but this one from Campbell looks pretty similar :
https://www.amazon.com/Campbell-Qui...s=quietsewage&qid=1554676767&s=gateway&sr=8-1
Is that what you were talking about?

Also, for the ball valve above, do you have any suggestions?

Again, thanks a lot!
Robin

A.Y. McDonald makes their silent check valve in 2" and 1-1/2" sizes, and with the union ball valve as part of the assembly. They also ship check valves and ball valves as separate components. They are made in the U.S.A. so you might not find them online.
