Apparently new well pumps cannot be placed into existing wells in which old pump parts are at the bottom of the well.
Mine quite literally did the same thing with close to 200' of schedule 80 PVC attached when the "SAFETY" rope broke and the brand new $1000 pump ended up at the bottom of my well which is close to 300' deep. Any info that anyone can provide would be much appreciatedI have a submersible pump that was dropped without a safety rope tied off. Well is six inches inside diameter, 320 feet deep, but there is 250' of 1 1/2" pvc still attached to the pump, which is now resting on the bottom of the well. Water line is close to grade level. Well is drilled straight down.
Any ideas outside of drill a new well- 5K, and 'call a guy'- already called two, would be much appreciated. I have a theory that I am working on, but wanted to hear some other, more knowledgeable, opinions! Thank you
This is awkward, but...
