Hi everyone,
I’ve been researching this but haven’t been able to find my specific scenario. I’m remodeling my basement. I’m adding a bathroom and kitchenette that will share the same wall. the sinks will be back to back. I’ll be tying into drainage from an upstairs sink. For both sinks I’ll be using AAV because i have no good way to vent outside.
In my pictures, the first is the line I’ll be tying into. The next two is my idea of how i should rough out the sinks.
Does this look acceptable to pass code? If not any advice would be greatly appriciated.

I would split the differance bettween the 2 lavs and put only a 90 on the bottom and stack 2 santees point them slightly toward center of lav if nessesary . if the pipe is 2 inch you can get by with only one aav on the top lav I think but either way I wouldnt do it like you drew it, btw santee is illegal you drew should be combi , and the other santee for the aav is backwards other wise your method works and is fine

NC uses IPC.

See https://www.iccsafe.org/wp-content/uploads/20-18927_GR_2021_Plumbing_Venting_Brochure.pdf
On the bottom of page 12, see the two lavatories draining into a double fixture fitting.

After the output of the trap, the pipe cannot turn down until after the trap is vented. This could be done with one or two AAVs. See Figure 4. Also, the Rectorseal Magic Trap could be used to provide individual AAVs under the lav. https://rectorseal.com/magic-trap-kit/

There are other possibilities, such as if you want the drain line to go off to the side. But you must vent before turning down.

yes page 12 shows a way too with a vent going up but there are a few ways to do this. ynot10 can use his original plan with the few changes I mentioned
