Hey,

Just purchased a 48k 5600SXT system and have been reading some of the other settings posts and trying to make sense of them.

Should I go lower on the C and BF? Raise the DO? Also, I put 4 gal of water in the brine tank with 4 bags of salt. Was that too much water?

Thank you

Municipal water from multiple sources
4 people x 60 gpd (Looking at past water bills in months without grass watering, probably closer to 50-55)
12 gpg (City says 15-26. Two different brand tests show approx. 12. My initial settings of C=48k/BF=10 test at 0 gpg after 1 day)
No iron
BLFC .5

Fleck Settings:
DF = gal
VT = dF1b
CT = fd
NT = 1
C = 30
H = 12
RS = rc
RC = 175 gal
DO = 14
BW = 5
BD = 60
RR = 5
BF = 6
FM = Po.7

Raise DO to 28 or 30.

Probably bump H up some. The city seldom under-reports hardness.

Looks good otherwise.

If you want a tad softer, you can raise BF to 7 or 8, and adjust C accordingly. But 6 should be good.
