I installed a Triangle Tube Prestige Solo 60 in 2008. It has worked flawlessly until this fall. It started normally but fails to ignite after the water temp is warm. Once the water cools down to about 75° it will ignite on the 2nd or 3rd attempt. If the water temp is over 90° it fails all 5 attempts and locks out.
I changed the blower assembly which was pretty dirty after 16 yrs of use, and also the ignitor. I checked the intake and exhaust pvc and they appear clear. The static gas pressure at the boiler gas valve is 10.5" and 10" on high fire.
I have tried to find a tech to work on the boiler but there is simply none that will come out, save one who did stop by. But he didn't have a combustion analyzer and didn't have a clue about what would cause this. He said he is booked until March.
In desperation I ordered an exact replacement and installed it on Dec 27th. I have exactly the same problem. I'm hoping to find a tech that can check the combustion gases. In the mean time I'm looking for any suggestions. I have set the max temp to 122° in order to keep the boiler from cycling. But we are heading into below zero temps in the coming week and I'm nervous.
