Hi,

I am planning to get Rheem® PREFERRED Platinum™ Water Softener which has two drain hoses one for the valve Drain and another for the overflow.

I'm having an issue as there isn't a floor drain nearby, but I do have some rough ins for the washroom as well as a pipe coming from the upstairs vanity. Would it be possible to connect the valve drain hose to the pipe coming from the upstairs vanity?

Don't. Get a good softener. Clack or Fleck based. otherwise, you are likely getting a disposable softener that tends to be landfilled in a few years. As to the drain question, you will have to check local plumbing codes, there are many local codes that vary from municipality.
