I installed a new AO smith 50 gal electric hot water heater 6 months ago and over the last few days it has been discharging water from the Pressure release valve every few hours. I added a new thermal expansion tank, becauseI never had one before, checked water pressure (65 PSI), checked elements and water temp. Elements read 12 ohm and water temp was 120 as it was set on the thermostat.
Still leaks every few hours.
