I'm sure this has been covered somewhere else but can't seem to find it.

I have a family of five, 2 story house and water pressure is always an issue. Our current well water system looks like this:
• 610' well with submersible pump (not sure on the specs of the well pump since it was installed before we moved in).
• The well pump delivers water to a 180-gallon storage tank in our well house. From what I understand, this is due to sulfur since we have high levels in my area. The well pump discharges the water, and the sulfur is vented out the top of the storage tank.
• 1/2hp submersible pump (7 GPM) is in the storage tank supplying water to the pressure tank. We have a 20-GAL pressure tank with a 40/60 switch.
• After the pressure tank, I have an Iron/Calcium filter and a water softener tank.

I have seen @Valveman mention the PK1A kit and that is very interesting to me. However, if my submersible pump in the storage tank is only 7GPM would the PK1A system be pointless? Do I need to replace the submersible pump in my storage tank with a larger capacity? If so, what pump would you recommend.....33GPM? I have a 1" pvc supply to the house. I should have done my homework last year when my jet pump went bad and it was replaced with the submersible pump in my storage tank. I needed it replaced in hurry to have water and that is what the plumber installed.

Another question off the topic of water pressure.......regarding the iron/calcium filter and water softener tanks after my pressure tank......whenever the systems backflush's periodically (once every two weeks or so), I always wake up in the morning with zero water in the house. I have to go outside and manually hold the pressure switch until the water fills the pipes and regains pressure. It will maintain pressure and work fine until the system backflushes again. I assume this isn't normal, but I am no expert on how all of that works. What could be the issue there?

Thank you!
Drew
