This is very strange. I have an issue where the shower valve when I first turn it on will stay hot even though I try to move the handle to a colder position. However, if I immediately turn the valve off then back on again then it will work ok. Very strange. What should I replace?

that replacement came in and it didn't fit at all. Will have to measure and order. Hopefully I can measure correctly with a caliper. What material should it be made? I live in a smaller town so don't have local options. Thanks

Sorry, was unaware that you needed a picture of the receptacle on the end of it. It basically looks like the picture I included. It is a single female plug rated at 15 amp 120 volt.
