The flow on the tub spout of a single handle delta tub shower faucet has slowed way down, shower head flow is fine. Some other plumbing work was done in the house which has a lot of old galvanized left. I think some debris was dislodged and may be clogging the delta. Suggestions as to cleaning it out, never have taken one apart before. Thanks - Don

Is this a lever handle that you lift and can push right or left or is it a lever handle that you move counter clock wise and back? Or is it a round knob that you lift to open and twist right or left to get temp..

If what you're saying is really the case, (we recently had a bogus question on this same thing) the problem must be in the diverter. Is it a tub spout diverter or a diverter that is part of the valve assembly? If it's a tub spout diverter, you can remove it and see how the flow is without it.

The faucet is a Delta 1700 about 4 years old. It has both flow and temp controls both rotary type and a push button diverter. Shower flow is ok but tub is low particualarly the hot by itself. Saw a daigram on the paperwork and have a couple of questions. Can the main plastic body be taken apart? or the diverter. I saw 2 seals with springs, can these get clogged? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks - Don
