Sticking Hand-wheel.

Hello to all,
I Have a 5600E and lately after Regen.seen water usage was not using about 45 50 gals per.Regen???So I tried a manual Regen and the hand-wheel was extremely hard to turn,I had to force-it,is there something that might be going bad?When I did a backwash it did use 45gals?Any help from the pros out here?Thanks.

I am not a expert, but them Valves can be what you think is hard to manually turn.

A bad timer motor has a hard time turning them also.

How old is it ?

OK this unit is about 3yrs old and it wasn't that hard before so I't might be the timer?can the timer be taken off then try-it?Thank-you.

Taking the timer off will not help, I do not think.

If it is bad, it just wont turn the valve thru the cycles properly.

You may have other problems. Sound like maybe you do.

I am sure the Pros will chime in soon.
