Bathroom reno. dilemma

Just completing a bathroom reno. Need general concensus on tiling issue.

This is a semi inground basement project so we have chosen a light coloured (cream & beige/tan), slightly textured 12 x 12 floor tile and need to find floor to ceiling wall tile for the shower - 48 x 32", which will continue on to an adjacent wall - top of soaker tub to ceiling. The dilemma is: we don't want to use the same textured tile on the walls and the smooth tiles we have seen do not seem to have enough contrast to the floor. If we go with plain cream, will it seem to 'blah'? Can't afford marble or such.

There are some pretty good emulations of marble done in porcelain. Check out www.johnbridge.com for some ideas on tiling. You do have smaller tile for the shower pan, though I hope. Regardless of the texture, you want smaller ones to do two things, make it easier to match the slope without lippage, and the extra grout lines give you more grip.
