Jacuzzi Mixer Valve

I purchased a Jacuzzi Pulsar II shower/whirlpool spa 5 years ago. After 2.5 years the mixer valve started to leak and had to be replaced for $150. Now at 5 years it is leaking again. Jacuzzi says that their mixer cartridges can fail after three years but usually last longer. I am used to them lasting 20 years. Will any other valve cartridge fit in a Jacuzzi Optica 300 mixer housing. I do not want to use anything from Jacuzzi ever again.
