Our summer home in Vermont is summer only and the water pump and pressure tank are located in a crawl space under the house. The well is located 175 feet down the mountain and about 40 feet below the pump. Each spring the priming of the pump is a major head ache because water must be trucked into the site to fill the lines down to the foot valve located in the well. Shouldn't I be able purchase a small pump and simply force water from the well into a Tee fitting at the foot valve to fill all the lines? Once the lines are primed all is great. suggestions would be appreciated.
