I just roughed in the plumbing for a new bathroom, and installed the rough-in body for a Delta shower. When I bought it the only one they had on hand had the optional stops, so that is what I took.
I plumbed it up and only got the hot side all connected before it was quitting time, so I turned the stop to what I thought was off (screwdriver slot perpendicular to pipe) and turned on the water. Water proceeds to erupt out of the cold side and the shower port of the shower valve. Didn't seem any different when I turned the stop parallel to the pipe either, so it seems like the stops are either non functional or I am thinking of things wrong.
Anyone have experience with these stops? Are they worthless?
I since sweated in a couple proper ball valves, so it's kind of a moot point.
