For a whole year, I had the e-mail notification option checked for subscribed threads and received no e-mail notification. All of a sudden, I started to receive e-mail notification. Now, I realized, I don't want e-mail notification and unchecked the box. But I'm still getting e-mail notification. What gives?

Personally, I don't know what you are referring to, but, I do know, if all else fails, restart your computer, after clearing your history and cookies. Maybe, that will help Eric.

*Check also, maybe to see if their is a "save" option after unchecking the box?

Certain isp's were blocking the ip of this site.
I just got Comcast to unblock things.

There were a lot of people that weren't able to register.
Let me see if I can change that for you Verdeboy

Thanks Terry,

The problem isn't that I am subscribing to too many threads. The problem (not a very big problem in the global scheme) is that the e-mail notification settings are not working properly.

My default thread subscription mode is set to "not receive e-mail notification."

Yet, as of today, I continue to receive e-mail notification.

Probably inertia. It may take a while for things to get moving, and even more for them to stop.
You may have hit on something. I no longer am getting e-mail notification. :)
