Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum. I am remodeling my bathroom. I knew the walls on each end of the tub had issues. The tub is a standard 60 inches but the opening is 64 1/2 inches 3 1/2 inches on the back end and 1 inch on the front ( where the drain is). What I would like to know is can I move the tub and drain 1 inch forward so it's against the wall studs? This way I would only have to build a false wall on one end of the tub instead of both ends. The floor is concrete slab, the underground drains are cast iron. The overflow and drain is PVC.
I would appreciated any help you can give.

Thanks,
JoeDB

Probably, but it is hard to say without being there or seeing a picture.

It is common to have the tub end up against a wall.

Similar question posed by randyc just 2 posts above yours . Give us some pics, and see answers in that post as well.
