Hey is it ok to use an Eastman Box and use the two inch drain from the box to drain into a Laundry Tub? I'm on septic and I'm going to install a Liberty 404 pump to pump the laundry tub out, up to my septic tank. The laundry tub is stainless steel and I was going to pipe the drain from the Eastman Box to the back of the tub just below the tap set. Cut a hole in the tub and put a 90 on it. It is a stainless steel backplate that the laundry tub has and the drain would be above the sides of the tub. The sink is about 4 feet away from where the washer is. This would give me the required air gap and would be a backup if the pump failed. Until the tub filled up. I would put the piping in the wall. Or has anybody had any experience simply piping it normally and not having the pump being overpowered by the washer?
