Hi all,

I’m looking to put an Ultramax in the bath upstairs, but there are some confusing items in trying to select smong Toto’s models.

Can anyone please explain how the letters ending the # relate to anything — like CEFG? I can’t seem to find this out.

Also, the model I bought my wife like 10 years ago is ADA height, CEFIONTECT, and dual-tornado flush. At these prices,I’d like to get that type again but they are a choice between Gmax and Emax now. There’s no description anywhere I’ve seen that says more than ‘great’ or ‘gravity’. Not sure why the press blackout on this for a $600 to $850 toilet and the vastness of the internet, but nada. Anyone, please? Is this info hidden in the model # too?

I blame Toto for this confusion too. They keep phasing models in and out, stores’ stocks lag behind, and they guard the info more tightly than the recipe for cocola or kfat chicken….

Is there such a critter as an Ultramax 1.6gpf, ADA height, Cotton White, Dual Tornado flush, with CefIonTect or CEFIONTECT and what would its model # be?

Thanks y’all!

I always recommend going to the independent testing site MaP Toilet Testing to look at flush performance...though Toto reps used to tell us that their own in-house testing showed good compared to independent testing that sometimes showed under 600 Grams flush. 1,000 is the gold standard.
I got rid of my 10 yr old Drake when a tank to bowl gasket failed. Got Am.Std Cadet 3 Flowise Elongated (1.28 GPF flushes as good as I could ever want) from H.D. ADA height, has fancy finish like Cefiontect, and really nicely priced plus, unlike Toto, has a standard Fluidmaster ballcock and takes conventional 3" flapper so, hardware store parts vs. crappy Toto special parts in many models. No clogs in two years. Throw away the crappy seat and steel closet bolts.
