We have a small leak on our Neorest 500. We finally stopped the leak by closing the water shutoff valve for Washlet.
In order to continue using remote control to flush and open/close seat and lid, Should we keep the unit plugged in ?

The leak on your N500 was likely from the solenoid valve. That unit has been removed from the list of servicable toilets.
