Thinset thickness

Hi all,

Have not managed to get a helpful response from either tile or thinset manufacturers. Grateful for opinions on the required thinset thickness to adhere 12“ x 24” porcelain wall tiles (10mm thick tiles) to Kerdi board, in a shower?

I would go with ½ inch x ½ inch square notch trowel
