I'm thinking of getting this but terrazo shower pans have so little reviews. are there any drawbacks to them besides the weight? Bathroom is on 1st floor.

It would be professionally installed. I need something 48 x 32 and the alternatives are acrylic or the "swan stone". Concerned about leaks, longevity, price is similar for all.

Ive put something like that in on commercial application I*m thinking its good for a half century or better only problem could be drain failure Id definately trust it.
I noticed it calls for Castiron or pvc connection no mention of ABS or "plastic" . Ive noticed that ABS deforms easier and never liked caulk joints on it though Ive done hundreds . So Id Look into that its a easy install to use pvc at connection if thats what they want. Assuming in Ca you are running all ABS underground

someone in another forum said the metal (part of the terrazo pan) can rust in 10 to 15 years but do acrylic pans only last 10 years? Another option is to do a mortar tile pan (have the contractor build it). Any advice is appreciated.
