Stuck Shower Strainer

Any advice on how to remove this shower strainer? Ive taken all the screws out and now it will not budget at all. Ive tried pulling it with pliers, spraying a generous amount of WD 40, and running a screwdriver along the edge but its almost like its glued in?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Has to be friction holding it. Maybe try a clothes hanger to hook around the grate holes and pull up hard. If it's that stuck there's a chance it could break. I'd maybe tap it with a hammer just to shock it out of place.

Thank you for the reply! I did try yanking it with needle nose pliers and it didnt move so I think it might take a little bit more than a hanger :/

I think we are thinking different things. You could dead lift it off of there if you bend a coat hanger into a U shape (actually a C shape to start) and and get it through the grate. Might be hard to fish it through there, but once you got it there's no limit to how hard you could pull.

get a coat hanger on near one edge.. have 1 person pulling up on it while someone else lightly taps the top with a small hammer.
