Hello,

We live on a property with three houses and one shared well. We own all three houses and we're wondering if we can install one softening system for all three houses.

We already have a RO system for our house but the water is still not right. It feels sticky if that makes sense, and it leaves one feeling still thirsty.

We have uranium in the water (the RO system is supposed to take care of that) but no arsenic or anything else bad, just lots of calcium and magnesium.

Not sure what to do or what to get. Any help greatly appreciated!

I haven't. I did a DIY test for a bunch of things, and the county did the testing for uranium and arsenic. I'll look into the testing, thanks.

Great looking water. I don't see that anything other than a softener would be desirable. You can install a single unit for all three houses but some pictures of the installation location and the pump system would be helpful.

You have some silica but not bad at all. It is not harmful. You could spray distilled water or RO water (not remineralized) on your fancy glassware and eyeglasses as a final rinse to avoid spotting.

For better tasting RO water, consider a remineralization filter, or other method of putting back some magnesium and calcium.

These photos show the well house innards and the four buildings served by the well. The photos of the buildings are taken from the site of the well house.
