I, too, have a Kohler sliding glass door. I've noticed a few of things with it, a few noticed when I installed it. Any holes must be made prior to the tempering process. But, those holes work best if they are nice and clean without chipping. The holes drilled in mine were all jagged, but so far, it's held up. Second thing, the design of their tracks is horrible...almost impossible to keep clean. Third, the trim is painted (white) on mine, and a lot of the paint has chipped off. Fourth, it needs to be cleaned often to prevent mold from occurring.

One of these days, I'm going to replace it. Hopefully, it won't break in the meantime!

Shattering glass can be quite an experience. Glad it wasn't worse.
