Hello All
I have equipment to drive a shallow point well !
The location i am looking at to drive my well is where a pond was located many years ago.
The pond was filled but the location stays wet and I belive it is where the feeder spring is close to the surface.

Would this be a suitable location to drive a sandpoint well ?

Depends on the intended water use. Who knows what material was used for fill. Also if the water comes up to the surface the surface water would also go down and might not be adequately filtered by the ground.

Thanks for the replies !
The fill dirt was infamous south alabama red clay dirt !
If I get anything from the well I intend to have it tested !!
But either way it never hurts to have a secondary water source i could use it to water my garden, chickens or in a bad situation to bathe with or flush toilets !!!
I bought enough pipe to go 23 feet down but I may not need that much ?!?!
Thanks again for the replies !!
