I am planning to run a PEX line from my sink to my refrigerator. It's on the opposite wall, so it's a bit more involved. I have no floor (slab) or ceiling access (attic - cold winters in NJ), so I'm going around the kitchen and over the doorway. I was planning to run 1/2" PEX and install an outlet valve box at the refrigerator location. From the reading I've done online, some people say that this is overkill, and I should just run 1/4" or 3/8" and have the PEX come right out of the wall. Can anyone give me some advice? I didn't see 3/8" PEX at Lowe's/HD, but I know I can order it online.
I also wanted to ask...do you use abrasion clips through every spot that the PEX intersects a wooden stud, or only in areas where there is a curve?
I appreciate any advice/suggestions!
