Need well advice
I have drilled a well last year and I am going to put in a new pump.
Well is 145 ft
25 gpm
static water 45 feet
and it will be for my future house.
I would like to put in a constant pressure submersible pump 1 1/2 hp and run it off a generator will this cause me any problems?
Any advice on puting it in myself and if it is sitting not active for 1 year will that ruin the pump?
Thanks for any advice on supplyers also..

My Goulds catalog shows a minimum recommended flow of 8 GPM for a 25GS15 pump, and 6 GPM for an 18GS15. They both put out 25 GPM at about 175 ft of head (76 psi). Either one is a lot of pump to be throttling to 1 GPM with a CSV.

The 18GS15 would probably be a better match for residential use unless you anticipate irrigating at flows greater than 25 GPM.

Is the generator just going to be an occasional thing until you get the house built, or is it going to be a permanent practice?

I am looking forward to the results of the CSV comparison test described in another thread in this forum.
