The handle and spindle on my gate valve just spins and spins. So I'm thinking the spindle has become detached from the gate. I'd like to
just rebuild the spindle and gate components of this gate valve as it is in a difficult to reach location- making it impossible for me to replace the whole body and solder. My gate valve has the following info stamped on it: The backside has a WB (wolverine brass ?). The frontside is labelled 1/2 125s 200w. I'd like to just go to HD or Lowes and buy a similar gate valve to cannibalize its spindle and gate to repair this gate valve in place. Is this feasible or am I wasting my time ?
