Please help me identify the bathroom faucet and cartridge

This faucet may be from the 70's when the house was built. I thought it was a Moen, but the cartridge doesn't match any of theirs (such as 1225). I would like to repair rather then replace if possible.

Crappy old Moen. You need to remove the remaining cartridge part still in the housing. There are steps we take to prevent the cartridge coming apart. Now it is the pits.
