I am currently doing an installation on a Moen shower diverter and I am using Apollo PEX fittings on the diverter. My question is what is everyone using for a sealant. I used four wraps of Teflon tape per thread and I cannot get this thing to stop leaking. I have read where people are using a plumber sealant in combination with Teflon tape but is there a better method thank you

Sometimes I vary the amount of tape depending on thickness of tape and the "fit " of how the fittings make up if the screw together really deep another wrap or 2 of tape. some guys don't use any thread tape but I typically use both dope and tape.
