I have a well that is not being used. It is 260 ft deep with a 7.5 hp submersible, 3600 gph. Could I use the pump to operate a sprinkler reel. There is no tank or reservoir in the system. Would it burn the pump up to operate at a restricted rate?

The more you restrict the pump the higher the pressure will be on the sprinkler. As long as you don't restrict it to lower than 5 GPM, you should not hurt the pump. However your pressure could be 200 PSI at 5 GPM. This won't happen if you use a Cycle Stop Valve.
