I have just searched quite a bit but could not find the old thread ...

Somewhere around here about a year or so ago, I said something about a leaking water-tank bladder that appeared to have mysteriously sealed itself and stopped leaking. Someone (SpeedBump?) told me that was impossible, yet I insisted ... and now I must clarify ...

Well, what I found out just a few days ago is that the bladder in that tank has a leak that only shows up when the pressure behind it is high enough to force some air through the pinhole. I knew the bladder was bad when I first got the tank, and it sat unused for quite a long time after that. When I later dug it out from the back of the garage and put only about 10 psi in it to check it again, it did not leak only because the pressure was so low.

My name is Joe, and I am obsessive-compulsive about detail!
