Hello, I have a Kohler Fairfax style single handle kitchen faucet which no longer pivots smoothly when adjusting flow rate. I disassembled it, cleaned and lubed the faucet O-ring with silicon grease to solve the problem of sticking when swinging the faucet left/right. I cannot get any of this grease into the pivoting mechanism which controls flow, it's too tight an area. This mechanism is all plastic.

Could I use 3-in-1 silicon spray lube instead ? Would this harm the plastic ? Any other suggestions ?

thanks,
Dave

I'd be afraid of getting that spray into areas that would convey drinking water.. and that spray is not likely food safe silicon. I wouldn't do it.
