I have an old possibly Grohe but unmarked kitchen faucet with a leaking cartridge that has resisted all attempts at removal. (There is no way I'm going to get away with PB Blaster inside our kitchen.). So now I need to find out how to remove this faucet, either to work on it outside, or to replace it entirely.
The main body of the faucet has built-in stainless steel supply tubes with compression ball/nut set up on the ends. There is a round retaining nut which I've been able to loosen but I cannot figure out how to get it out over the two supply line tubes. One tube is slightly longer than the other, but the inner diameter of the retaining ring is still too small for me to pull the ring over the supply lines with a nut in the way. The faucet looks similar to the one shown in the parts diagram.
I do want to try to "save" this faucet so if there is a way to do this without cutting any parts, I'd like to know. Thanks!
