Hey all, we need help identifying our fixture. Through this very awesome site you guys have I think I have identified it as a Delta 1600 (perhaps 1608?) series. Here are the supporting URLs I found:

Q1 Specifically what make/model do you think it is?
While we do have a very minor leak, more significantly the handle is missing and both universal handles I've used have utterly failed. This lead me to using vicegrips, which I fear have damaged or at least rusted the metal piece (which I've labeled A and I think is called the 'cartridge'). I certainly need a handle, I probably need the part labelled A, which means removing the collar B will likely break and need to be replaced too. I suspect that these parts come as kits and are very proprietary to the make/model, meaning there are no universal or standardized replacements. This leads to my second question.
Q2 Replacement of which of these parts mandates that others will also need to be replaced too?
I am very happy to upgrade to newer version of these parts if that's possible, though if i'm required to replace the portion that connects to the copper piping itself (I think this is called the 'valve') then I'll have to break some tiles, which for the sake of my marriage I really need to avoid doing. I believe sourcing new parts is easy, but these circa 1980s will be really tricky.
Q3 Where can I buy the replacement parts I need?
Thanks for reading this long post and any help you can offer.
