How do you get ABS glue off your hands?

Even more importantly, how do you get ABS glue out of your hair?

I had to replace some old cast iron (bathtub ptrap and associated uphill pipe) under a slab and was gluing pipe in an awkward position. When I got home I found a big glop of hardened glue right on top/front of my head.

Do I wait a few days and maybe it will come off?

Nail polish remover to soften it?

Wet towel overnight?

Help a brother out..

So now you have primer on your hands. ABS glue would seem the lesser of two evils in that case.

High octane gasoline will usually get off your hands pretty well, or paint thinner works good too..


put it in your hair at your own risk.

Use Acetone. Or nail polish remover. Should clean it up alright.

I always wear my best trousers, shirts and shoes when plumbing....to my wife's utter horror!

I had second thoughts about chemicals ao I just use my fingernails on it for about a half hour.

I think I only lost a few hairs in the process.
