I am looking for any helpful information on this toilet, like the make, model, manufacturer, parts, history, anecdotes and stories. I have spent hours sleuthing online and have only found hints; possibly a ‘Crane Ambassador’, or a ‘Briggs’ brand toilet,

both fill valves are embossed with “CRANE” and “Pat. Pend. 1961”. The float’s brass rod raises and lowers a graphite plunger to actuate the rubber diaphragm. The rear valve fills the tank while the front valve supplies water to the underside of the bowl’s rim. The water supply enters the bottom of the tank (pic # 3) on the Right hand side, not the Left. The flapper and flush valve are located in the front left corner of the tank, not in the centre of the tank. There is a date stamp in the bottom of the inside of the tank; 05 15 62. The only other makers mark (pic #1) I can find says “Rd 1959”. I have no idea what this indicates.

I think that is a Crane Ambassador. It looks like there's a crack in the tank from the one picture. Is the underside of the toilet covered in duct tape?? If it is cracked, replace it immediately.
