I just tore out a fiberglass surround shower and am planning on installing a new shower with tile floor and walls. The subfloor is a concrete slate and below is a picture of the 2" copper drain that is sticking out of the slab a couple inches. In researching drains, everything seems to only work with PVC or ABS. Is there a drain I can attach to the copper directly or do I need to dig into the concrete and do a transition to PVC? I've never worked with concrete before, so I'm hoping there's an easier fix.
