Im watching a video where they copper coat the threads for each new drill pipe that gets added. why would anyone glue the drill pipe sections together if it must be removed when adding the casing and pump?

Without a link to the video, we can only guess that they are using copper anti-seize which is a lubricant, not a glue.

Copper coat is a tread lubricant used to lube the threads on drill pipe. It is used so the drill pipes will come unscrewed when the drilling is finished. It is not used to connect the drop pipe in the well.
