I am installing a sewage pump in my basement. I would like to connect to the waste line by using the clean out plug. Unscrew the plug. I would attach 3" threaded coupling. I would then glue a 3" hub with a 2"wye and put a clean out plug on the end of the hub. Connect the 2" sewage pump line to the 2" wye on the hub using 45 degree pvc elbows. The sewage pump is to the right of the waste line. You can see the vent about the sump basin in the picture.

Would this work? What would you do?
Thanks for your time

It would "work", but many inspectors would have problem with it because the cleanout tee does not have any "directional sweep" to direct the waste in the desired direction.
