The ball valves are the push type (Sharkbite)
CPVC is fine, but does get brittle. Sometimes you pick your poison. Some water in some places will attack copper, in which case the plastics may be better.
I've installed a lot of copper in my day, and now I install more PEX.
You're fine with the CPVC.

Just be careful around it. As Terry mentions it is brittle. The sharkbite ball valves should only be operated by holding the valve body in one hand and the handle in the other.
