Advice on water filter for plant watering

I have a fleck 5600 installed but need to water plants that’s on the other side of the house. I wanted to see if this would work.

Use an adapter from the outdoor faucet to the 1/4 tube for this water filter. If not any other advice would be appreciated

it might flow real slow it says that a filter lasts 300 gallons at 50 bucks a pop price on filters
