Aftermarket powerflush adapter

I have not one, but two Kohler low-flushers that daily require multiple flushes and the mighty plunger.
Kohler 2291 elongated
Kohler K090040 elongated (number is stamped inside the tank, but kohler tech support says that is not their number!)

On both toilets I cannot raise the water level higher for more pressure and volume because the overflow tube is too dang short.

I'm trying to find a way if possible to keep the existing toilets. If not, I'll go get a couple Toto one piece toilets recommended by Terry.

So on google searching I found an aftermarket device that claims to increase the flushing power.

they claim to delay their own flapper to allow more volume. Also their tube is a lot higher so that I can have the water level higher

Anybody every use this device or had success with other aftermarket devices.

I guess I could just get a new tube that's longer and raise the water level with the float adjustment.

Most tanks of low flow toilets don't dump all their water with a standard push-the-lever-and-release flush. Before I invested in a power flush that might not help, I would increase the height of the overflow tube as much as is safe; then test with a full flush by holding the handle down.

If you want a really quick test you can plug the overflow with a wet rag and fill the tank with a bucket to test the flushing action.

If that works, then you can put a float on the flapper to keep it up longer and get nearly a full flush with standard lever action.

The Kohler Wellworth elongated bowl has not been very good.

I pull a lot of them and dispose of them for people.

I think it's more the bowl than the tank.

I am familiar with that unit . It is a little hokey, but is on way to raise the water level in the tank. First, they are probably not legal, but we won't even go there. The bowl was designed to flush 1.6 gal. If you rig the tank to flush more, the bowl will tend to fill up. If there is a clog, you risk an overflow.


The Kohler Wellworth is famous for double or even triple flush. If you have a toilet which is not clogged, and adjust the flapper to flush the whole tank full of water, you do not get one big powerful flush. The toilet will flush, then as water continues to empty into the bowl from the tank, it will flush again, and commonly they will even flush a third time if enough water is allowed to flow in. If there is a load in there that it cannot handle, all you get is an overflow, not a big flush!

Last week I bought and I installed a Toto Ultramax.
Not one clog so far!! My wife and teenage daughter love it!!
