I was planning to hang some drywall in my unfinished basement in the house I just purchased. I have 2 questions and am hoping someone can help. There is a picture to explain.
1) I have a pipe to extends the full length of one of my walls, about 20ft. It protrudes past the studs I would attach the drywall too, by about 1/2". In the picture you'll see the pipe and the main stud to the left (question 2 below pertains to the framed opening which you will also see). What are my options?
2) As you'll see in the picture, where the pipe starts, to the left in a framed opening, but it's about 2" past the main part of the wall. Would you recommend I do something on the 20ft wall so that it aligns up with this opening, and then resolves the pipe issue in #1?
If so, what would you recommend I do to align them up, given the 20ft wall?
I hope this makes sense. Thanks for the help!
