December 2010, I went to Whistler (http://www.whistlerblackcomb.com/index.htm) for a long weekend with some skiers from Snojokes. This is a shot looking down at one of the Glacier Creek day lodge.

The day before the trip, Margo and I had to go to the Federal Building in Seattle to our renew passports. I found out you can expedite the process and get them the same day even. It was close, we were leaving on a Thursday in the afternoon to beat the Seattle traffic. It was a bit stressful wondering if we were going to be able to make the trip with the rest of the group.

Shooting pool at one of our nights out at the Whistler Brewhouse Pub (http://www.whistleronline.ca/merchant2.php/list2/295/Whistler+Brewhouse)in Whistler. I think that was Bassuk with Margo. I don't remember names real well. I'm not much of a pool shooter. The other guys weren't too bad.

I like to stop by Horseshoe Bay on the way back from Whistler for lunch. It's a beautiful place to take a break.

Margo, Linda and Terry having lunch, while the other two cars carrying all the other guys stopped at McDonald's. Hey, someone has to carpool with the women.
this is the Boathouse Restaurant (http://www.boathouserestaurants.ca/), which is on the water. Sometimes I stop at Troll's (http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/14/181869/restaurant/Vancouver/Trolls-at-Horseshoe-Bay-West-Vancouver) for lunch too. That across the street from the waterfront, but it's fun too.
The following weekend I was in Hawaii (http://www.terrylove.com/forums/showthread.php?39577-Hanging-out-in-Waikiki-for-Christmas), a good change of pace.

Horseshoe Bay is very nice indeed.
Unfortunate that ferries cost so much however. Did you know that over 21 people who work for BC Ferries make over $200K CAD a year?

In real money, that's just over US$200k/year.
That is a lot of money.
Cheaper to swim.
