We are going to be running the water line from the well to the house. The run is about 70ft and is slightly downhill from the well. Our plan is to use 1" SIDR 160 PSI poly pipe. Does that sound okay? Pump is a Grundfos 5SQ-320 set at 300ft.

The next question is what type of fittings are okay for burial? We are going to be connecting a yard hydrant with a tee on the line into the house. Can I use a bronze tee or should I use stainless steel?

As to how much pressure the pipe will need to deal with, check the local people. Some areas run higher pressures, and expect the houses to have regulators. That tends to be in areas with a lot of elevation changes.

There are thermal effects, even with poly. Do not pull the pipe tight, but instead have it snake a bit in the trench.

Bronze, stainless, or lead-free brass would be OK AFAIK. Certainly bronze is OK, and I expect that to be more expensive.
