Where we previously lived there were four houses connected to one pole-mounted transformer.
Where we now live is underground feed. Each residence, I believe, has a green box in the corner of the lot.
Smaller transformer in each box?

More that likely it has transformer and independent feeds with breaker protection for the wiring to each house.

I do expect that the KVA rating of the transformers at each house will be smaller than the transformer feeding four houses. There is often a KVA number painted onto the pole tranformer. Sometimes there is just a 2-digit number, and sometimes it can say KVA. I suspect there is a label on the transformer in your yard, but I don't know if they will openly label the KVA. I would think it would be something on the order of 5 to 10 KVA.

Those are most likely junction boxes. The older ones were metal and about 8x8x24 and looked similar to Bell System boxes but for at least the last 20 years most utility companies have used plastic ones that have larger cross dimensions but are lower to the ground. Nothing inside but splice blocks, no breakers.
