I'm doing a bathroom renovation and my shower is pretty far (8') from my toilet and lav, so I can't wet vent them altogether. Joining them on the same horizontal drain is also difficult. So I had the idea to tie in vertically. The shower will be individually vented. I wanted to tie the two vertical lines together with a wye, but I was concerned that falling solids may catch on the inside edge of the wye. Is this a standard method to tie together two vertical drain lines?
