Renovating my upstairs master bathroom. Previous owner had this p trap/san-tee on its back set up on the tub drain. I plan to cut that out and replace with wye+1/8 bend+ street elbow leading into p trap for new tub. Going to upgrade the rest of the drain run that is currently 1.5” to 2” as well.

My main question is about the vent arrangement. Right now the only vent for the tub is coming out of the top of the 3” stack in the wall. It goes vertically through the roof. The existing trap and what I would replace it with is above where the drain line connects into the stack. This is not correct, right? I don’t remember having trouble with sewer smell, gurgling, or slow draining from tub before, but want to make this right if necessary while I have the chance. That vent pipe is also for the toilet, which is roughly 3’ to the right of the 3” connection into the stack. My question: am I ok to just replace san-tee and p trap and use existing vent as it is or do I need to plumb the vent or trap arrangement for tub differently?

Thanks
